About us

Breakthrough Hypnosis was developed to help anyone succeed in creating the changes they know will improve the quality of their lives.

In raising the bar in terms of overall experience and results produced we have we have shifted public perception of hypnosis and opened it up to a broader spectrum of clients, many who would not previously have considered it.

Our procedures maximise success by attending to both variables that can have an effect on the outcome of a hypnotherapy appointment:-

1) Client’s state of mind
Rather than turning up apprehensive, nervous, fingers crossed and wondering what to expect our clients are prepared, know what to expect and are relaxed and at ease.

2) Therapeutic techniques used
Our techniques are state of the art and can produce results in large groups in one session. They also produce an extremely pleasant and unique client experience.

  • What will I experience with Breakthrough Hypnosis:

Breakthrough Hypnosis is a dynamic system that is cutting edge, clinical and precise. It consists of 3 stages.

    1. Preparation
The preparation stage puts you, the client, in the picture as to what to expect and how to approach the session. This empowers you to arrive for your appointment mentally prepared, relaxed and at ease.
    2. Appointment
The appointment consists of a pre-talk, followed by the Breakthrough Hypnosis trance. The pre-talk consists of a recap of the preparation, some clarification of the results required, and a brief explanation of the procedure to follow. The Breakthrough Hypnosis trance is specially designed to be accessible by anyone. There is no need to focus, concentrate or visualise anything. All you need to do is close your eyes . The trance is an undeniable experience during which we communicate directly with your unconscious mind to produce the result required.
    3. Reinforcement
Although the change takes place at the appointment stage, it is generally accepted that it takes 21 days for new behaviour to settle down. The reinforcement stage is designed to guide you effortlessly to this point where your change is no longer a new behaviour, but is actually part of you.

    Who developed Breakthrough Hypnosis™

    Martin P Clarke
    Consultant Hypnotherapist
    Master Practitioner NLP
    Master Practitioner Time Line Therapy
    Certified Hypnotherapy Trainer
    Developer Breakthrough Hypnosis

In the eleven years since he first qualified, Martin has helped people overcome all manner of problems ranging from phobias and anxieties through to addictions, clinical depression, bi-polar (previously referred to as manic depression) and individual deep-rooted and trauma-related issues. An expert in group hypnosis, he holds regular group hypnosis events for smoking and weight loss.

From the beginning of his training as a Hypnotherapist, Martin found he was able to modify and improve the techniques he learned, increasing their effectiveness.

Very quickly, he began using techniques that were totally his own. Breakthrough Hypnosis was developed over his first seven years in practice and was fine-tuned into a system of specific, but flexible protocols.

The first students of Breakthrough Hypnosis were trained in 2004.

Changing your life doesn’t mean changing who you are, it simply means altering or letting go of outdated patterns or viewpoints and actually allows you to experience more of who you are.

If you’re not sure whether we could help with your situation feel free to call and discuss the matter. If we feel we cannot help we will at least be able to point the way to the most suitable alternative.
